Most of us are unaware of our power to create our experiences.
We have been templated to give our power away.
We have tended to think about our life backwards.
Not uncommon to believe our self is a reflection of our experiences.
What if our experiences are a reflection of our consciousness?
I believe this is the case.
It is common to misinterpret, fail to understand our own responsibility in our experiences.
A subtle shift in focus can have a big impact.
Rather than telling a play-by-play of our experience, it will be more powerful to focus on what we want in our experience.
What within our experience matches our desires and dreams?
Take notice. That is an optimal thing to talk about.
Ask: “Am I seeing my situation clearly?”
“Am I seeing my situation optimally?”
It is far better to not think about your present situation at all than to talk about the elements that do not match your desires and dreams.
Choose your focus.
It sounds almost too simple to be true.
It is simple.
It is true.
Leave the questions unanswered.
Be willing to not know.
These are very difficult questions.
In a way.
To ask the questions with no desire to answer those questions is a powerfully creative state of mind.
Keep asking questions.
What could I do to understand my situation more clearly?
What could I do to understand my situation optimally?
How could I optimize the way I interpret my situation?
Is there someone I could collaborate with who might give me a valuable perspective to consider?
Remember… Leave the questions unanswered.
This generates a state of allowing the shifts into, or at least closer to, the dream.
OR
Simply keep dreaming up how you want your situation to be.
Dream up how you want your situation to feel.
Dream up how you want to live your life.
Dream up the type of people who you would share your life with.
To be specific might be suboptimal.
Might just as well be optimal.
To honor and respect the free will of everyone else is a more harmonious path.
Commonly, we do get attached to specific people.
No problem.
Keep an eye on how that works for you.
Martyrdom is so last millenium.
Watch carefully for inspiration towards fulfilling the dream … the dreams.
The tiniest step.
The most subtle of inspirations.
Guides you in the right direction.
Might ask:
Do I feel like I am on the right path now?
Could this be a step in the direction of fulfilling my life purpose?
An implication here is that you have aligned with your life’s purpose.
And if you have not yet aligned with your life purpose,
Focusing your questions and attention on the important discovery of your life purpose is optimal.
BEFORE … Anything. Else.
It might be easier said than done.
Choices. Choices.
The bottom line is:
Get off of your own back.
Get out of your own way.
Be aware of how you are telling your story.
Are you creating a story that is sabotaging your dreams?
For your sake.
I hope not.
How We Create Our Own Stories….. By Sarah Johnson.
While watching, I stopped the video and dictated the above into my ipad while sitting in the sun on my back deck.
Sarah encourages us to consider how we tell our story.
I had been toying with this already.
Came to nearly identical conclusions.
This may be an oversimplification.
Yet worth a thought.
Engineering a life.
A big task.
Fun. Fulfilling. Challenging. Etc.
…when you are intending it optimally.
