Perennial Philosophy is a term for the highest common factor present in all the major wisdom traditions and religions of the world.
Following was taken directly from the book Limitless Mind by Russell Targ.
I started to transcribe a section, morphed into paraphrasing that landed me on a beautiful tangent.
Aldous Huxley describes the many levels of awareness associated with the Perennial Philosophy.
First Principle:
Consciousness is the first building block of the Universe.
The world is more like a great thought than a great machine.
Human Beings can access all of the Universe through our own consciousness and our nonlocal mind.
We have a dual nature.
Local and nonlocal.
Material and nonmaterial.
The purpose of life is to become one with the universal nonlocal loving consciousness.
Available to us.
The purpose of life is to … (OK, here is where I leave the text.)
Align with our authentic multidimensional self.
Attune to our multi dimensional self.
Break away from entrainment to outside sources.
External signals.
To recognize, attune and entrain to our own … distinct … signal.
You are here for a reason.
The best resource to discover your reason …
Is yourself.
To know this is not truly an answer.
More a signpost.
You are free to explore.
Many signposts on the road.
This is simply one of them.
You may choose to take notice.
Or cast it aside from your attention.
You may choose to come back and look at the signpost in the future.
Or never.
It is not the way.
Simply a signpost.
Its meaning is given by you.
You interpret it.
You decide if your initial interpretation is optimal.
You continually choose in each moment to adjust your course on your journey.
On your path.
Discernment is in the eye of the beholder.
When you find joy in your exploration, it is by design.
You can just as easily choose a path that brings any emotion through you.
Awareness of our creative freedom and power comes into focus as it does …
… Or does not.
Each of us writes our own story.
Whether we are mindful of it or not will influence our state of being …
…. Immensely.
