When you ask the <\/i>O<\/b><\/i>ptimal<\/b><\/i> <\/i>Q<\/i>uestion, you get the <\/i>O<\/b><\/i>ptimal<\/b><\/i> <\/i>A<\/i>nswer.<\/i> Beautiful Truth. No Right and \"IMG_3755\"<\/a>Wrong but some questions are a setup. Biased. Lead you further astray. My observation is that many people ask questions not aligned to their Highest Purpose. Example: What can I do to control this situation? Or What can I do to make that person do what I want them to do. Something to consider as you navigate the Game of Life. I recommend that you Question your Questions. I Do. Empowering Questions are all the Rage in my World. I have it down to a Science …<\/span><\/p>\n

October 2014, I spent one week in a little town, Abadi\u00e0<\/span>nia, Brasil. Worldwide attention has landed on the town due to the <\/span>M<\/span>ediumistic <\/span>H<\/span>ealer John of God <\/span>(JOG) <\/span>for over a decade<\/span>. Books and Movies exist to document the magic that ha<\/span>d<\/span> been experienced <\/span>at the Casa \u2013 a gathering place designed and developed for the purposes of <\/span>Assembly Line Healing <\/b><\/i><\/span>(my words)<\/span>. Healthcare delivered, large and small. Including <\/span>M<\/span>iracles. <\/span>Consider Miracles and Reality are the same things viewed from two different Mindsets or Perspectives.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

My visit occurred<\/span> via a sideways turn of events. A Tour with an American Psychologist for the prior week caught \"10991393_10153114757117264_2686313909745273035_n\"<\/a>my eye <\/span>not long before the Departure Date<\/span>. I signed up after a telephone conversation and reviewing the details <\/span>briefly<\/span> online. <\/span>Impulsive by most people’s standards. Clarity by my Own. You just know when you know.<\/span> Weeks later, I received an email suggesting a visit to John of God along with most of the other participants <\/span>of the original tour<\/span>. I did not look up John of God. I said <\/span>Y<\/span>es. When in Rome, <\/span>do as the Romans –<\/span> so to speak. <\/span>Impulsive or Clarity in decision making depending on your mindset.<\/span> I have Optimized my Senses to just know when I know… A Teacher, Matt Kahn, always said, if you are not sure, it means No. Excited and Enthusiastic… is a Yes. Works for me.\u00a0 To Easy to be True?\u00a0 Be Aware if this matches your Inner Voice.\u00a0 I Upgrade to:\u00a0 It is Easy.\u00a0 And It is True.<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

It quickly became apparent, once arrived in the quaint town, that there was a lot of information that others felt I should have acquainted myself with <\/span>ahead of time<\/span>. Was not inspired to study up on the upcoming experience. I<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

believe that I will know what I need to know when I need to know it. <\/span>One way of defining Abundance.<\/span> Here was another example of Two Different Mindsets living side by side. I was the only of the group not actively working in Healthcare. The tour had me frequently feeling slightly fraudulent. I reminded myself how inspired I am to learn <\/span>and\/<\/span>or develop shortcuts to <\/span>H<\/span>olistic <\/span>H<\/span>ealth. I had just as much right to be there as anyone. I recall the prudence the leader took with my case when we initially spoke on the \"10891681_926366110720870_901488128449286995_n\"<\/a>phone. The tour involved alternatives in Psychiatric care.<\/span> She had led 60 prior groups but this was the first time the Tour was solely for Healthcare Providers<\/span>.\u00a0 I was open about my dramatic experiences within the world of Psychiatry as a Patient with a Psychotic Episode, twice admitted involuntarily. Just because someone lacks a diagnosis means very little to me. My experience matches. The diagnosis does allow for greater awareness around your behavior. Just one of the reasons I feel my <\/span>label, some might call diagnosis,<\/span> of Bipolar Disorder has been a blessing, well<\/span>–<\/span>disguised at first. The fact that I was also trained as a Family Doctor led her to <\/span>take her chances<\/i><\/span> with me. She did not state it like that but it was my interpretation. She specifically wondered if I would be at greater risk of a bad experience during one of the medium sessions. I volleyed back, <\/span>perhaps I will be more resilient than a non-labeled person. <\/i><\/span>One never, never knows if one never, never goes<\/a>.<\/b><\/span> That old Australian tourism jingle. The original link was removed from You Tube \ud83d\ude41<\/em> . In the end, one of the jewels for \"IMG_3597\"<\/a>me from the tour was discovering that I, myself, am a Medium <\/span>of sorts<\/span>. Good to know \u2026 Solidly landed into my awareness weeks following the trip.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Was so grateful to the Original Tour Leader, now also a Friend and Colleague, who put me in touch with a local Guide to facilitate my experiences at The Casa, John of God’s Healthcare Facility. Beautiful grounds, <\/span>C<\/span>hurch-like st<\/span>r<\/span>uctures complete with pews made up The Casa. Natural Vistas complemented the scene. A <\/span>S<\/span>acred <\/span>W<\/span>aterfall was strategically situated less than a mile walk away. Ritual washing in the waters of the <\/span>S<\/span>acred <\/span>W<\/span>aterfall was first on the Itinerary. Some infrastructure existed to aid in keeping the waterfall Unisex, reversing from Male to Female as the participants presented. Arriving a couple of days early allowed for no waiting <\/span>at the Waterfall.<\/span> Our prior tour <\/span>scheduled<\/span> to \"Angele\"<\/a>allow extra days to enjoy the<\/span> leisurely <\/span>pace of the quiet town.<\/span> John of God started diagnosis and treatments on <\/span>a specific day of week<\/span> so many people arrive just the day prior. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Loosely connected to the group from the prior week, I was informed of tidbit after specific tidbit of what I was supposed to do\/wear\/be etc. A couple in the group had visited with JOG before. By the end of our week there, two were Official Guides. One being freshly O<\/em><\/span>rdained<\/i><\/span> for lack of a better word. It was she who was shocked and horrified that I was unaware that we were encouraged to wear white clothes while present at the Casa on treatment days. <\/span>Surprised myself that<\/span> I had packed my white jeans and a white shirt, very outside of my routine. The weather was scorching \u2013 unseasonal- begging for the most minimal of clothing. I let the dismay roll off of me. I planned to keep a sideways eye on the shops and see if anything tickle<\/span>d<\/span> my fancy. Not too concerned. <\/span>I was certain that I would not wear clothing that was not authentic for me.<\/span> Turned out, Ang<\/span>\u00e8<\/span>le found and purchased two appropriate white outfits. The one vendor accepted my bank card, successful. The other was cash only. Turns out most of the town held the belief that <\/span>C<\/b><\/span>ash is <\/b><\/i><\/span>K<\/b><\/i><\/span>ing.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Abadi<\/span>\u00e0<\/span>nia <\/span>is <\/span>an <\/span>I<\/span>ntentional <\/span>C<\/span>ommunity \u2013 the parts I experienced. Many <\/span>H<\/span>igh <\/span>V<\/span>ibrational <\/span>B<\/span>usiness <\/span>O<\/span>wners <\/span>C<\/span>onsciously chose to setup in the town, aligned to the work of JOG and the Visitors he attracted. It made perfect sense that <\/span>C<\/span>ash would keep <\/span>M<\/span>oney out of the <\/span>F<\/span>inancial <\/span>S<\/span>ystem. <\/span>K<\/span>eeps costs down? <\/span>Hide<\/span> M<\/span>oney out of <\/span>S<\/span>ight of the <\/span>T<\/span>ax <\/span>M<\/span>an? Who knows what the motivation was. I am not the most worldly traveler but recent years had found me in South America a couple of times. I noted how accessible money was. Seemed hardly worth the hassle of obtaining foreign currency in Canada. Much easier when in the country. For Brasil, I took this lackadaisical approach. The last day in Goi<\/span>\u00e0<\/span>nia, Brasil saw an opportunity to jump in a cab with a couple of the other ladies heading to the <\/span>M<\/span>all for a <\/span>C<\/span>ash <\/span>M<\/span>achine. The week was tightly scheduled. Missed my Solitary time Fiercely. Declined the boring trip to the cash machine. Had about 80 Reais, not a lot of money, and my plastic cards. Ready for anything. So I thought.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was shortly after arrival to the town of JOG that my first cash crunch presented itself. The Guide was expecting \"IMG_3454\"<\/a>payment in cash \u2026 US Dollars. Whoops! Missed that Memo. With me being an afterthought, neither she nor I sorted out that important detail. Would have been easy enough to have had that ready. Oh well. Will Brasilian money be OK? Slight deflated, yes. Do you take Visa? No. Bank card? No. Paypal? No. Oh. Let me find a Bank Machine, no problem.\u00a0 Looking back, my Guide was not comforted by my Bank Machine proposal.\u00a0 I came to understand why. There were only 3 Machines in the entire town. One was situated in the lobby of the Poussada (like a hostel) where most of my prior week group was staying. I took many meals there. Turns out the machine was <\/span>O<\/span>ut of <\/i><\/span>O<\/i><\/span>rder.<\/i><\/span> No problem. Surely it will be repaired soon. Quick to see the non-committal tone with the various locals. Weird vibe detected instantly. Hmmmm \u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I assured my dear Guide that I will pay the fee gladly. Worst comes to worst, I will wire the money from Canada.\"11032755_10152589735301512_4748794306361934246_n\"<\/a> <\/span>After genial discussion, it was decided that the chosen option would be for the <\/span>G<\/span>uide to drive me to the nearest town, Alexandria, where there would be both <\/span>B<\/span>ank and <\/span>B<\/span>ank <\/span>M<\/span>achine. <\/span>Before hitting the highway, we checked a second bank machine. It appeared functioning but would not give cash to my foreign card.<\/span> The drive<\/span> was 40 minutes, scorching hot, windows down, driving down a highway with a woman whose foot was even heavier than my own. Cannot recall the make of her car but it was not the Volvo XC 90 that I have become so accustomed to back home. Sprinkle in some road rage with regular frequency. Picture painted.\u00a0 Learned a new move:\u00a0 left hand, palm up out the driver’s window.\u00a0 Jerky upwards movements implying\u00a0I am waiting\u00a0<\/em>while you ride the bumper of the car ahead expecting them to change into the right lane to allow your passage.\u00a0 I knew the move well but had never used the accompanying hand signal.\u00a0 I felt validated for past behavior somehow. Grateful to get to know the guide a little more. Beautiful <\/span>S<\/span>oul. Personally, I love these unique VIP experiences. Not sure how she felt. She was very courteous about it all.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Going to the bank in Brasil contrasted my Edmonton, Alberta, Canada experiences. Firstly, you put your phone and wallet (whatever you are carrying) in a special receptacle in the transparent bullet proof wall between the Foyer and Bank. You walk through a Metal Detector and quickly retrieve your items. I am not recalling if there were armed guards on site.\u00a0 It felt like it. <\/span>Strained <\/b><\/i><\/span>R<\/b><\/i><\/span>elationship<\/b><\/i><\/span> were the words that popped into my head. Between the <\/span>P<\/span>ublic and her <\/span>B<\/span>anking <\/span>S<\/span>ystem. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Perspective being gained by the minute. Prior to entering the bank, I took out the daily maximum from the machine. This settled all debts with the Guide, <\/span>along with a full tank of gas<\/span>. That was her Top Priority. Do not blame her. As things played out in the week, I can see the importance of payment prior to service. I ended up being 110% satisfied – a minority in the group she attended alongside me. She and I were a perfect match. Of course! That is how my <\/span>L<\/span>ife works. She very generously offered to satisfy my curiosity to see if a teller might be able to manage a larger cash withdrawal. I would need more money to get through the week. She is an industrious woman and used the wait time to look into some insurance issues she had – driving her car uninsured it appeared. I was able to witness some interesting differences Brasil to Canada. There was the <\/span>pull a number<\/i><\/span> system. Seats were provided while you wait. Nice. Loved the<\/span> <\/i>N<\/i><\/span>atural<\/i><\/span> order of allowing elderly and handicapped to jump the queue. Interesting \u2026 I was so Grateful for the Guide’s translation services but the Teller could not exceed the already maxed out cash availability. Was worth a try.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Guide bill paid but not a lot of cash outside of that in my wallet. Optimistic by <\/span>Design<\/span>, carried on. Daily checks \"10294429_10153028602743304_2092022305019742855_n\"<\/a>on the closest bank machine. <\/span>Did not take long to see that this was routine and not unexpected. There was no reliability in the maintenance of the <\/span>B<\/span>ank <\/span>M<\/span>achines. Another symptom of the <\/span>S<\/b><\/span>trained <\/b><\/i><\/span>R<\/b><\/i><\/span>elationship.<\/b><\/i><\/span> Interesting how much <\/span>P<\/span>ower the <\/span>B<\/span>ank has despite the desires of the portion of the town serving JOG. Cash is <\/span>K<\/span>ing but where does the <\/span>C<\/span>ash come from? <\/span>As always, it takes Two to Tango. Not a harmonious dance in this case.<\/span> Started taking an active interest in how I would manage with nearly no money. Funny memory. Must share. Cannot recall if this was day 2 or 3 but <\/span>joined<\/span> several from the prior week <\/span>for<\/span> supper. Healthcare workers. I <\/span>disclos<\/span>ed my Financial C<\/span>hallenges<\/span>. Did not even occur to me to ask for Assistance. Sideways assumed they had just enough cash for their own needs. Everyone was caught a little off guard by how cash friendly the place turned out to be. One fellow participant was quick to take on a stern face and start \"IMG_3377\"<\/a>lecturing me. <\/span>You have learned your lesson now, I imagine.<\/i><\/span> Something along those lines. Complete with the slow, repeated finger pointing at my chest. My quick reply was that I will learn a lesson but likely not the one you are referring to. Sometimes I cannot help myself. No malice was intended but yikes, that good old Mindset again. She was uncomfortable with my easygoing stylin’s. She wanted me to be more Responsible. I reassured her that I was not overly concerned. I love the idea of finding a way through this. Solutions will present themselves. My history of <\/span>F<\/span>ierce <\/span>I<\/span>ndependence. <\/span>I <\/b><\/i><\/span>O<\/b><\/i><\/span>pened my <\/b><\/i><\/span>M<\/b><\/i><\/span>ind for <\/b><\/i><\/span>C<\/b><\/i><\/span>reative <\/b><\/i><\/span>S<\/b><\/i><\/span>olutions.<\/b><\/i><\/span> Perhaps that was the point of it all. I was not asking for help yet. It was not even in my mind. At the \"11021145_908860622504417_6746349948240237187_n\"<\/a>end of this meal, one of the others (Doctor from USA) silently slipped me 100 Reais. It made me smile…and warmed my heart. She had a Cheshire Cat grin on her face. I treasure that moment. I could see myself doing the very same. So cute. It was the vibration with which she gave the gift that I treasure most. It was knowing that I would be fine, but just in case it comes in handy, here you go. I accepted that <\/span>loan<\/span> wholeheartedly. I took scientific interest to notice, that it was only on the last day that I tapped into that bill. In the end, she missed a meeting with a lady we connected to in <\/span>Goi<\/span>\u00e0<\/span>nia <\/span>to purchase some Flower Essences. I paid her bill after visiting one of 6 Full Service Bank Machines lined up in a row at the Airport. Wait for it. Wait for it. Yes, nearly 100 Reais. Shipped them to her from Edmonton along with a US dollar check to ensure full payment of my little <\/span>love loan<\/i><\/span> once I arrived home. We are all connected.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"IMG_3746\"<\/a>So I spent some of my spare time scouring the streets and businesses for solutions to my cash problems. First to show up, the <\/span>T<\/span>ravel <\/span>A<\/span>gency had a little side service going on. Get <\/span>C<\/span>ash from many <\/span>F<\/span>oreign <\/span>S<\/span>ources. Fee: 10%. I was willing to pay. Serve me please. Many varied attempts with different amounts and cards. No success. The American plastic worked like a charm for other Customers. Canada was not recognized by their <\/span>M<\/span>agic <\/span>B<\/span>ox. Pity. Had I brought more American cash, that would have easily earned me the right to pay 10% to obtain the Brasil<\/span>ian<\/span> currency. Have long known that American cash while traveling the Americas comes in pretty handy. Somehow chose not to take formerly followed advice on that one. All American dollars got spent in <\/span>Goi<\/span>\u00e0<\/span>nia <\/span>where plastic probably would have worked just as well. Who kn<\/span>e<\/span>w?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Side <\/span>E<\/span>ntertainment for the week in <\/span>Abadi\u00e0<\/span>nia <\/span>was thinking about <\/span>M<\/span>oney, <\/span>M<\/span>oney systems, <\/span>W<\/span>ealth. Enrichment to my <\/span>E<\/span>xperience. Reverse pun?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"IMG_3886\"<\/a>I have significant wealth in Canada but <\/span>when I am unable<\/span> to <\/span>access<\/span> it, I am as <\/span>G<\/span>ood as a <\/span>P<\/span>oor <\/span>M<\/span>an. <\/span>No connection to all that I have in the Canadian Financial System.<\/span> Access Denied.<\/span> Rolled that feeling around in my mind. Straight to the thought that it is a <\/span>M<\/span>etaphor for Human Evolution, formerly known as Spirituality. Each of us has an <\/span>A<\/span>bundance of <\/span>R<\/span>iches in the form of our <\/span>T<\/span>ruest <\/span>S<\/span>elves, our <\/span>H<\/span>ighest <\/span>S<\/span>elves. <\/span>I<\/span>f you have no Connection to it you are <\/span>not <\/b><\/i><\/span>A<\/b><\/i><\/span>ctualized<\/b><\/i><\/span>. <\/span>A Poor Man. Not connected to your <\/span>W<\/span>ealth.<\/span> What do I mean by <\/span>A<\/span>ctualized? The idea that the most Free, Powerful, Loving, Joyful, Truest version of yourself awaits most of our <\/span>E<\/span>xperience. I<\/span>ncluding Myself in that statement<\/span>. <\/span>A more <\/span>E<\/span>xpanded <\/span>V<\/span>ersion of <\/span>M<\/span>yself <\/span>C<\/span>ontinually <\/span>O<\/span>pens <\/span>U<\/span>p.<\/span> It is there waiting to be tapped into. Each of us will have some idea for themselves. <\/span>I consider Jesus Christ as an example of <\/span>a <\/span>fully actualized <\/span>Human Being<\/span>, to add some perspective to how big I <\/span>B<\/span>elieve I, and everyone else, <\/span>C<\/span>an <\/span>B<\/span>e.\u00a0 I consider present day Normal <\/em>better termed as Suboptimal<\/em>.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"IMG_3500\"<\/a>I started writing this story January 27, 2015. Since these <\/span>E<\/span>xperiences, I have <\/span>I<\/span>ntegrated a lot of <\/span>E<\/span>xpansion in my <\/span>M<\/span>indset. John of God’s <\/span>P<\/span>sychic <\/span>S<\/span>urgery, to my mind, played a part in that. <\/span>The <\/i><\/span>E<\/i><\/span>ntities, <\/i><\/span>Spirits<\/span>,<\/i><\/span> are the <\/span>T<\/span>herapeutic <\/span>M<\/span>odality behind the benefits of JOG.\u00a0 JOG is a Medium, communicates with higher Energetic Vibrational Beings.\u00a0 He uses his Gift to assist People to Heal Themselves. Defies <\/span>M<\/span>edical <\/span>L<\/span>ogic, yes I know. <\/span>Logic is less relevant in the Higher Vibrational Energetics.<\/span> Note the picture of a<\/span>n<\/span> Historical Text I referred to looking for the Doctor words, <\/span>T<\/span>herapeutic <\/span>M<\/span>odality. <\/span>I date myself as it is far from the most recent Edition of Harrison’s.\u00a0 A Bible of sorts.\u00a0 More of a keepsake to me now. Not unlike my copy of the Holy Bible.\u00a0 I allow them to maintain their places on my bookshelf, but I do not plan to refer to them in any serious way.<\/span> I had forgott<\/span>e<\/span>n <\/span>the Medical Jargon<\/span>. Needed to <\/span>jog<\/b><\/i><\/span> my memory. Ha ha. To my <\/span>E<\/span>xperience, the <\/span>E<\/span>ntities helped <\/span>M<\/span>e a lot. The <\/span>R<\/span>elationship began the <\/span>M<\/span>oment I set foot on the ground of the town of JOG. Those extra days ahead found me lying on my bed in my convent-like accommodations for hours at a time. <\/span>In a Nutshell<\/b><\/span>, I will describe my sense of the operations of JOG. I believe in the concept of <\/span>H<\/span>ealing large numbers of people with <\/span>G<\/span>race and <\/span>E<\/span>ase. It is by <\/span>E<\/span>mpowering the <\/span>S<\/span>elf-<\/span>H<\/span>ealer within <\/span>each and every one of us<\/span>. Many in the <\/span>C<\/span>ollective <\/span>C<\/span>onsciousness hold strong to the idea that it is hard, inaccessible and should take a long time. Possibly you believe there needs to be\u00a0another person<\/em> to act as the Sacred Healer. You may\"IMG_1495\"<\/a> want to <\/span>R<\/span>eview this with your <\/span>O<\/span>wn deeply held <\/span>B<\/span>eliefs. They can be tricky, these beliefs, hiding outside of your consciousness yet powerfully limiting your ability to enjoy full Health.\u00a0 That is how Powerful we are.\u00a0 A shame when we lack awareness of our own Power. Make it a game of <\/span>H<\/span>ide-and-<\/span>S<\/span>eek. If those <\/span>B<\/span>eliefs are there, no problem. You<\/span>r<\/span> I<\/span>nten<\/span>tion<\/span> to remove them <\/span>E<\/span>nergetically from your <\/span>B<\/span>eing <\/span>is the <\/span>important<\/span> first step required to do so<\/span>. That <\/span>I<\/span>ntention, strongly and authentically held starts a <\/span>V<\/span>ortex of <\/span>E<\/span>nergy aiding you to that goal. Follow your <\/span>I<\/span>ntuition and <\/span>E<\/span>xcitement. It may not look anything like how you might expect. <\/span>Listen to me <\/b><\/i><\/span>N<\/b><\/i><\/span>ow. Believe me <\/b><\/i><\/span>L<\/b><\/i><\/span>ater. <\/b><\/i><\/span> I am not saying that everyone needs to go to John of God in Brasil. There are many paths that lead to full Health. My sense is that many people do not realize full health is within their reach.<\/span> First step is Believing.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

In the past her discomfort with requesting payment for her vocational work echoed with me also being uncomfortable with it. I would wonder if I am taking advantage of my talented friend. A few times, I was close to hiring someone else just to ease my dis-ease. She made it clear that would be far worse, let us work through this. Her discomfort taking money for her services was in the wider world too. I have heard her say, she wishes she could do what she loves for free. I wondered aloud, Really? Be Mindful what You Wish For. I believe it is true but some source of living with ease and grace would want to be in place first. My sense anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n

I instantly Translated my Advice for my <\/b><\/i>F<\/b><\/i>riend<\/b><\/i> into wording that suited my situation. I would Live in Greater Ease and Grace if I could Request and\/or Desire Intimate Love from a Man of Interest just as \"IMG_3757\"<\/a>Naturally as I Expect to be Fed when I am Hungry and Sleep when I am Tired. When and how did I put all the weirdness on this Simple Desire? Why do I Subconsciously expect that Men will not want to Spend Time in an Intimate Relationship? The Best I can Expect is Sexual Intimacy: take whatever Intimacy comes on the side with that. Awareness is a Good Start. Interesting. Don’t ya think?\u00a0 The Old Fashioned Money:Love Tradeoff.\u00a0 The Belief that you can Not have Both in Abundance.\u00a0 Tradeoff:\u00a0 Be Gone!\u00a0 And it Was.\u00a0 Just. Like.
